Outfits of the Year 2013

It's quite unbelievable that the year of 2013 is coming to an end. It's the time of year when we hear people constantly express statements such as "new year, new me", "I'm going to the gym for 7 days straight as my new years resolution", and "my diet starts today!" but in reality, it shouldn't take a brand new year for you to figure out that you want something done. If you want to make change, make change now rather than waiting for the coming year.

Today's post represents my outfits of the year. Seeing as 2013 was a super busy year for me, there were very limited numbers of outfits posted for this year. Nevertheless, I bring forth to you a post of a collage of 2013's outfits of the day!

For full outfit details, just click here and it'll bring you straight to "outfits" tag.

I wish you all a very joyous new year!

Lots of love,

New Years Style Guide 2013/2014 Part III: Ballerina in Paris

What I'm Wearing:
Top: Temt
Skirt: Collette Dinnigan for Target
Shoes: Rubi Shoes
Necklace: Colette by Colette Hayman
Bracelet: Lovisa
Ring: Lovisa

What Makeup I'm Using:
Maybelline FIT ME Foundation in 220
Garnier Roll-On Anti Dark Circles Concealer
Models Prefer Eye Brightener
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner in Black
Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Blush Powder
Face of Australia High Definition Brow Kit
L'Oreal Paris NutriShine by Colour Riche in 102 Shiny Grapefruit

And alas, part three of my NYE Style Guide!

This Collette Dinnigan tutu is probably my most proudest buy. Although it was bought in the kids' section of my local Target, and I have to put it on as if it were a shirt because it fits around my shoulders but not my hips, it's totally worth it when you see how it looks on.

Keep the jewellry minimal as the skirt speaks wholly for itself. I accessorised it with silver jewels: a link charm necklace and simple key heart charm bracelet, just because I wanted to make sure it meshed well together and silver was definitely the perfect match.
Instead of adding a pair of heels, I figured a pair of adorable flats would work really great with this look for a  quiet New Years gathering with friends and family.

There you have it. Three of my favourite options for New Years Eve!
My theme was a little more ballerina inspired.

Until my next post,
Danica xo

Say hello to the second part of my New Years Style Guide for 2013/2014!

Wearing my new "Always my mother, forever my friend" bangle from my little bundle of joy for Christmas with this glamorous little jumpsuit from Topshop. Finding an undergarment for this jumpsuit was tougher than tough - luckily, mum found this perfect cream bralet from Trade Secret and it fits in perfectly.
Paired the embellished collar jumpsuit with some nude heels that glitter on the back of the heels - perfect addition of oomph to the look.
This jumpsuit honestly doesn't need a lot of accessories considering the jumpsuit speaks for itself.

Voila! Part 2 done and dusted, can't wait to show you part 3 tomorrow!

Until my next post,

New In

Lo and behold, yet another New In post. Just a little note though, this isn't my boxing day sales shopping, this a collective post from the past few months, so they also were not bought all in one go (obviously.)

As stated before, I've been doing some updating when it comes to my wardrobe. So that involves finding great deals on clothes, shoes, jewellry and bags, and boy, am I having a lovely time doing this!
Working as a Christmas Casual at colette by colette hayman has been really great! Every single shift I come in for, I end up having a good time. It's as if I'm being paid to have fun while playing with bags and jewellry! Pretty rad, I must say.

Well anyway, I've bought a bunch of stuff that I'm honestly over-the-moon about. That's when you know it's been a successful couple of months shopping - when you can't stop obsessing over the stuff you purchased.

So enough with the small talk, and let's get to it.

Quite impressed with the quality of these photos. Honestly, it's never looked better.. Wow, astonishing.

OKAY! Snap out of it!

I can't pin-point which purchase is my favourite considering all of these pieces are so perfect, but I'm totally admiring my gold iPhone 5S. Was in total need of a phone upgrade after having the iPhone 4 for 3 years. Yes, the 4, not the 4S, not the 4G, the 4. Feel my pain, yeah?

As you can tell, I've purchased a lot of monochrome pieces. Since starting work at colette, I've noticed I built up soooo much colour in my closet, I never left any room for basics like blacks and whites. So I'm catching up with myself and sure am stocking up with a lot of basics and classy black and white pieces. Very pleased with myself.

colette by colette hayman had a 50% off all jewellry during the week before Christmas and I went absolutely craaaaaazy! As you can see, I stocked up on new jewels too seeing as I needed to update my jewellry rack too. Also, bought a couple of bags from colette because, who can resist their stylish bags?

These Real Techniques brushes are heaven-sent, and my new Forever New white leather backpack is absolutely perfect for when I start up at college again in February! Yay!

Another post will be up in a couple of hours. Stay tuned x

New Years Style Guide 2013/2014 Part I: Add a Dash of Glam

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Dotti
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: Colette by Colette Hayman
Bracelet: Colette by Colette Hayman
Ring: Colette by Colette Hayman

What Makeup I'm Wearing:
Maybelline FIT ME Foundation in 220
Face of Australia Translucent Loose Powder

Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Blush Powder
Face of Australia High Definition Brow Kit
L'Oreal Paris NutriShine by Colour Riche in 101 Pink Nude

Welcome to the first part of my New Years Style Guide for 2013/2014!

I wanted to add a cheesy 2014 headband into my look, but then that would require searching for one that matches my outfit, and then re-shooting, and you know what, this was my first shoot where I was pretty pleased with my winged liner {although it's not so noticable in the photo, I'm smiling because I was thinking about how I managed to do it so good}, so no, I refuse to re-shoot this *hmph*!

Besides, don't you think the dress speaks "welcome 2014!!!!" by itself anyway?
I think so.

New Years Eve. The night when you stay up waaaay past your bedtime and enjoy good company and good food and watch the fireworks on the tellie after you've incessantly screamed "Happy New Year!!!!" at the top of your lungs. Now if your family is anything like mine, you'd have already filled your pockets with coins, and as soon as midnight struck, you were jumping for the hope that in the coming year, you were to grow taller (some sort of Filipino myth.) Last year, I forgot to jump, and here I am, all 5 feet of me, not having grown an inch, boooooooo! In the midst of all that excitement, you're sure that you want to feel extra stunning on the night. Personally, I love anything with glitter, sequins, ruffles or tulle - so this year, I combined all (well, most) of those and thus, I compiled three of my favourite New Years outfits options.

Tonight, I bring forth the first part of my New Years Style Guide for 2013/2014.

A subtle sequin top-half that sits above the pretty pink puffy tulle skirt is the perfect party ensemble. This dress has been sitting on my rack for months, and finally, the time has come for her little debut.
As the dress speaks for itself, I've paired it with a pair of pretty pink heels to give the dress's structure a much more better fit.
I added a pearl and crystal necklace to sit on top of the dress, and a simple silver charm bracelet to add some bling to my wrists. And a swirly ring was added to my right middle finger because I hate having my fingers feel bare (even if you can't see them in the photos, oops.)

Part two will be up soon!

Until my next post,

And alas, we've finally reached the third and final part of my Christmas Style Guide for 2013!

Celebrating Christmas during the daytime for a party or BBQ makes dressing up fun. Go for a casual but party-approved look, like cute shorts with a flowy top.
I added minimal accessories to this casual daytime look because I feel like the colours are already doing the perfect styling for me.
Add some sweet clogs with your casual outfit and it's immediately chic!

There you have it, three of my Summer approved Christmas outfits.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas, and a wonderful new year!

Christmas Style Guide Part II: Firecracker

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Temt
Shoes: Rubi Shoes
Necklace: Colette by Colette Hayman
Bangle: Colette by Colette Hayman

What Makeup I'm Wearing:
Maybelline FIT ME Foundation in 220
Face of Australia Translucent Loose Powder
Garnier Roll-On Anti-Dark Circles Concealer
Models Prefer Eye Brightener
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner in Black
Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Blush Powder
Face of Australia High Definition Brow Kit
Chanel Rogue Allure in Extatique

Welcome to part dos of my Christmas Style Guide!

A party dress is great for a night celebrating with your closest friends. As you get older, you become a tad more independent and sometimes, a few nights before Christmas, you'll celebrate with your best friends, and that's totally fine. So, to be safe, make sure you're rocking a fab outfit.

I styled this bright red body-con dress with a rose gold spikey cuff to give it a bit more of an edge.
Seeing as it's a colour block dress, a statement necklace is the perfect addition to add a bit of trendiness to the neckline.
Pair the dress with a classic pair of black suede pumps. (Pack a spare pair of slippers in your purse for the night though!)

Part three will be up tomorrow!

Until my next post,
