There's something about fashion week that makes girls everywhere go completely gaga. I know for sure that for me, I can't help but constantly hit 'save' on every outfit I adore that comes down that runway. I couldn't stop obsessing over Rebecca Minkoff, Charlotte Ronson, Jill Stuart, Monique Lhuillier, Lela Rose, Zac Posen, Tory Burch, J. Crew, Badgley Mischka and Jenny Packham at NYFW (to name a few), but I fell in love with Elie Saab's 2014 Couture Spring Collection *insert love heart eyes*

Fashion week always leaves me feeling inspired. My mind is bursting with ideas and I have the sensation of creativity.

What I love about this outfit is how the pieces compliment each other. Not one single piece is overpowering the other, but excelling the beauty of it. It's exactly like having a great group of friends. Meshing well together is one of the best things you can do when styling and in life.

I paired this light denim button up shirt with the black flare-out skirt, equally complimenting each other, and perfectly adding a pair of neutral heels to finish off the look. To accessorize, I tucked in a pebble-sized diamond necklace under the collars of my shirt, and wore a simple diamante bracelet on my wrist, with a gold band diamond ring. Simple jewellry to let the outfit speak for itself. Your accessories should always be the cherry on top of that cake, and not the cake itself. And to complete it, a cream bow clutch to carry your essentials in!

Until my next post,
lots of love,

And they said, "let them eat cake." Ha, just kidding! Well, maybe they did, but anyway, back to today's post!
It's no secret that I absolutely love the girly style. Walk into a store, find a cute pink top with unique cuts and/or styles, then you've got me at the counter buying that sucker.

What I really love about this look is how simple it is, but how it still stays true to my style and what I love most when looking for outfit inspiration. When you think about it, pink and purple together in an outfit is like a 5 year old outfit gone wrong, but it's all about finding the right tones that go together, and also how you add the accessories. Since you're clashing two strong colours together, opt for the most basic neutrals - your blacks, whites and browns.

I tucked in my purple scallop-edge top with pink shorts with bows on the side. Make sure you grab a few stylish pieces of jewellry because accessorizing is really important when trying out a colourful look and also when colour blocking. Adding a pair of black flatforms to compliment the look, and matching my bag to my shoes perfectly finishes the look.

Until my next post -

If you know me well enough, you'd know that I completely adore Blair Waldorf. Not only that though, you'd know that I love Leighton Meester almost as much as I love Miss Blair Waldorf. Whilst Leighton Meester channeled this boho chic look, I took the time to re-create it!

In this post of Celebrity Dress-Ups, Leighton wears a loose teal button-up blouse over her burgundy jeans, paired with a long bead necklace and some strappy heels.

She's applied her makeup in a natural look, and kept it very minimal. Her hair falls onto her shoulders in soft waves.

So in this outfit, I paired my orange jeans with a similar top I got from Valleygirl. Instead of pairing it with a long beaded necklace, I decided to pair the outfit with a long necklace with multiple pendants. Lucky for me, I have a pair of heels really similar to the ones Leighton has on. It made the outfit become more true to Leighton's.

As for my makeup, I kept it as neutral as possible, and added a pop of a pretty pink lip.
Although it's tucked away, used a curling wand to create soft waves, quite swimilar to Leighton's.

So there you have it. A re-created look of Leighton's look, with easy and affordable items!

Lots of love,
Danica xo

There's nothing I admire more than simple outfits. They're so easy to work with, and there's not a lot of effort needed to be put in, just the confidence to rock it!

With this look, I've paired a simple top and skirt combo with a pair of leopard print flats. I love the girly vibe the scrunch of the sleeves of the top gives, and I am obsessed with the shade of pink.
Along with this long is a replica of the Alexa Mulberry bag but in a smaller version. Purchased from Cotton On, it's the perfect addition to the outfit for a casual everyday look.
As for jewellry, I just added a small and quaint silver heart necklace, and my gold Michael Kors watch, just to jazz it up a little bit.

I'm hosting a giveaway for my blog soon.
Just wondering what you guys would want to be in it?
Sound off in the comments, please!

Lots of love,
Danica xo
